Mount Desert Island Luders Fleet

2003 Racing Schedule 

SOUTHWEST HARBOR FLEET

>  Series racing on Fridays except for the first race which has been
rescheduled for Thursday, July 3rd.  Two series; July and August.

>  Wednesday, July 9th. "Sweetheart Race," All classes, one man and one
woman in each boat.

>   Wednesday, July 16th. Single-handed race.  All classes.

>   Wednesday, July 23rd.  Picnic Race. All classes.  Anchor in Valley
Cove, Somes Sound, for lunch.

>   Wednesday, July 30th. Junior Invitational.  All classes.  Awards.

>   Friday, August 29th.  Last series  race ends in Somes Sound with
visit aboard new 154-foot yawl.

SEAL HARBOR YACHT CLUB

>   Tuesday, August 5th.  (Tentative date.) Seal Harbor Regatta. (Won by
Luders Fleet Captain, Alec Goriansky last year. Cup first won by Nelson
Rockefeller.)

>   Team Race between Luders sailors and the Winter Harbor Yacht Club,
hosted by Seal Harbor.  Date not confirmed.

NORTHEAST HARBOR FLEET

>   Annual Hayward Cup Race.  August.  Date uncertain.

The complete schedule will be sent to local fleet members when it is
finalized.
