I can relay that we voted to hold the 2007 Internationals in New
Orleans, and the 2009 in Chicago. My report is not official, however:
I believe that we decided that as Maine hadn't sent any representation
to Chicago, and given it's near 60 year hiatus in competing in the
International Championship from 1947 - 2004, we would like to see
Maine participate in at least one more International Championship
hosted elsewhere before returning the regatta to Maine waters.

We have had no word at this early date. Given the video images of
the harbor, likely not well. SYC burned, reportedly completely. A
large number of the boats in the harbor were washed ashore, others
are still floating. Much of the area is under water, some quite deep.
