<DIV>There is a guy named Elk in Bar Harbor who has done beautiful work on wood
Luders. He certainly could manufacture a boom. The fleet on Mount
Desert Island has a mixture of wood and aluminum masts, but some of them have
been refitted with wood masts beautifully by Jim Elk. (You could google
Elk Boat Yard in Bar Harbor). </DIV>
<DIV>Cape Cod Shipbuilding/Zephyr will manufacture an aluminum one for
you. I personally don't think the price is bad, and the shipping would be
easy for you. I need a new aluminum mast in Maine and the shipping is a
challenge. </DIV>
<DIV>One of the more knowledgeable people about Luders 16's is Sturgis Haskins
(<A href="mailto:rugosa@acadia.net">rugosa@acadia.net</A>). He might be
able to help you on dating etc. </DIV>
<DIV>Best wishes. A couple of us have a fiberglass L16 which we are hoping
to get into the water for the first time in a number of years.</DIV>
